naah. I'll try an' find the "long shots" from turn 12. It was Patirck in a "conventional" car.
 
Saw Mario do some solo 'demo' laps in that same Lotus two years ago at Laguna Seca. He was not holding anything back but I don't think they posted his lap times but I could tell from the doppler effect he was a truckin'. And I thought his wife forbade him to do any more 'testing' but boy was I thrilled. He might be my favorite driver ever.
 
At the first F1 GP this year (Dubai?) they had as many World Champions as they could get. All bar one of those still alive showed up, to drive cars of their era if possible, or else sometinig appropriate.
From what I understand, Mario and Emerson Fittipaldi were not hanging around in their Lotuses, types 79 and 72 respectively.
I'd have loved to see that.
