"There should be no weakness in this car."

Where's th' fun in <span style="font-style: italic">THAT</span>?!?!?

They say pricing will put it more in reach than the XK.

As Bill Cosby would say, "RIIIIGHT!"

My son and I were at a Jag promo, JagAlive, event last weekend in NY. They set up a drag strip, an autocross course, a street circuit and a low traction section (to show all wheel drive capability - suggestion, buy a used jeep). We had a chance to drive every model Jag, including the XKR-S. They had a Type-F there, for show only, but we could sit in it and poke the buttons.

Here's my son sitting it in

The car is nice but it's big, wide and heavy. They had a pristine series 1 E-type next to it which I think was a bad idea, tough to beat the good looks of an XKE.

Shouldn't be that heavy, the bodyshell is aluminum. Pricing is going to start at $69,000 and go through $92,000 which is firmly in XK territory. The F-type will take sales away from the XK line, no question.

I had thought that it would start in the 40's, rather disappointed to find out otherwise. Expect to see the XK discontinued shortly.

See my second post above. :smirk:
