Externally Adjustable SPAX Shocks - Really?

I went to adjust my front SPAX shocks for the first time (for me at least) but after getting the front wheel off I see that the adjuster is pretty much at the bottom of the shock and nearly inside the opening in the lower A-arm. It looks like the only way to get at the adjuster would be with some kind of small screwdriver with a universal jointed head. Has anyone a similar setup and have you been able to adjust the shocks without removing them from the car?

The fronts definitely provide a challenge to adjust. When I installed mine I tried to think it through for future adjustments by the direction it faced. I fab’d a specially bent/ground/shaped small screwdriver that I can just get in to adjust even from the back without removing the wheels. It’s still not an easy job but with patience it’s really not a problem.
