Re: UPDATE

I have troubles getting on over here at 8PM local time which is about 5AM west coast usa time, have found that once in, its quicker after reading to pick forum option rather than back out to read another post.
Also when i log in and proceed to other pages they display me as not logged in! weird!

Make sure you are set to accept cookies. The forum uses cookies to keep track of you from page to page. Once we get moved to a new server I'm hoping that the speed problems will improve.

Re: UPDATE

Another update... everything was quick and normal this morning /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

This morning was awful, just hung.

Must be out of memory because of a memory leak.

But....but....but, what will Jack Laird do during those 20 seconds? hehehehehe

I had the same experience-couldn't get on at all.......I thought I forgot how!!!!!It's along down hill slide.....Randi

Same here, the forum was gone most of last night and this morning. At this very moment it is working better than it ever has. Pretty quick!

it like a lottery...click a button, hold your breath, close your eyes and Pray.....

just a thought, but could the number of attachments be anything? Perhaps cleaning anything older than a year or so might help?

One thing I have figured out is that I'm getting hit with Denial of Service attacks. Been trying to block suspicious IPs, so hopefully that will help.

Well if we are being attacked I understand the problem and we will just have to live with it awile.

Basil you have become part of our lives and whatever you need to do, do it with our blessing.

Yep. I was having the same issue. I just blocked a group of IPs from Asia that seemed to be doing "unusual" stuff from looking at my log files. I blocked the entire set of IPs from that provider in Asia (I checked and there were no users here with IPs even close).

I will try to stay on top of this, but I'm a little bit in a quandary as to what to do to "solve" this problem once and for all. Believe me though, I am working on it.

Hmm... 213.13.x.x? I actually got SPAM from a .th source that took the time to figure out how to fill in my "web mail" form (which is all custom, they had to set it up manually). They refered me to an aol hometown site - how completely stupid.

I have had the same thing a couple times recently. Someone had filling in my form with what looked like "canned spam" about investing in some Gold stock.
