I have been having problems with gases from my engine compartment getting into my cowl and going into my vents and I am not sure how they are getting there. Any ideas on how to stop this.
Thanks

Jeez, whenever I drive Dad's B with the top up, I end up giving off visible exhaust fumes when I get out of the car. They just seem to seep in everywhere. Remember that there are all kinds of wires and pipes going in and out of the engine bay, through the firewall. Those rubber grommets go bad, and can let a lot of noise and smells in to the car. My old Midget had this same problem.

it is actually blow from the oil filler cap, I cleaned out the side breather plate, but I'm not sure if that is all the things that need to be cleaned. Also I have sealed up all the holes were the wires come through with foam filler, but it still comes through the vents.

L Hall;
I have been driving my 76B for 16 years, and have not had that problem, even when it was in poor mechanical condition prior to rebuilding.
I don't know how common it is, but it should not be happening. Is it possible that rings are worn causing higher than normal crankcase pressures?
