Exhaust manifold gasket on 87 Esprit??

The shop wants 18 hours labor to replace???

It looks pretty straight forward to, am I missing something???

Also, any Lotus manuals out there? I can't wait to see what the dealer wants for one

Unless there is something majical about a Lotus Esprit manifold, I'd say that's just nuts! Get some other quotes!! That sounds way high!

The car still sits in the garage awaiting repair so any input would still be appreciated... Water in the gas of our 87 Vette has kept me preoccupied

Hogs, since I'm not in your area, I can't help much with a good mechanic, but I would suggest getting hold of a copy of Hemmings Motor News, look in the section on Lotus and call some different places around the country and see what they tell you. That might give you a better idea of what is reasonable. Let us know how it turns out. Good luck.

Still not fixed but we're looking forward to getting our hands dirty soon. Repairing the Vette and shows have kept us busy
