Exhaust header

Can anyone recommend where I can purchase a proper
exhaust header for my 1966 BJ8. I have been told that
I should buy a split header or some say to buy a 6 in to 1?

I have had no luck in finding any vendors.

The BJ already has split headers. The standard threes into twos manifolds & pipes are pretty good unless you are building an all out race car. A six into one is likely to only improve things at very high rpm, & cause loss of midrange power.

Hi Vracer,
I haven’t run my car with the new headers yet, but I bought mine from Denis Welsh. Here’s the link . They are 6 into 2's, but I put a cross tube in just North of the mufflers. I had to cut a small section out of the header and re-weld a flatter piece in to clear the foot well, but I think I’m the only person that had to do that judging from the last thread we had on headers. Otherwise, they were fine. Randy Forbes has a cool set of headers, maybe he’ll come along and tell you were he got his.

I've attached a picture that I 'posed' of my BJ8 motor with DW headers. I cut and welded a short length of the original type SS flex pipe and had them coated with JetHot.
