GT6 Evolution of the GT6

Very sporty looking. i think I'd like to see a rendering with round headlights to capture a little more of the classic look and less of the 350Z look (not that I dislike those).

Nissan 350Z.

Bears little resemblance to any Triumph, IMHO.

I'd rather the Z car. :yesnod:

The BMW Z4 coupe is already a pretty good take on a Modern GT6. Already powered my an inline 6 and built by the Triumph trade mark holder.

So far Ive already had two people ask me if my GT6 was a 240Z. I dont know if I should be offended or not. I mean the car has no badging, and both times, the body was off the frame without bonnet. But ok, MG, jag, some other british car, I dont really get offended like some of your might. Mostly because I, myself, didnt know what one was. Ive never seen one before. They existed decades before my time.

But when your next door neighbor owns a modern nissan Z... ...I dunno...

When I had my GT6 I also had many people compliment me on what a nice car it was, then they would proceed to ask me
"What year Datsun 240Z is it?, Is that a really early 240Z?"
"No... it's a Triumph GT6."
"What's a Triumphgeeteesix?"
"ahhh, never mind..."

The pillar-less glass is appealing. Would be hard to pull off in production, but still....

Yeah, I dont think you could sell such a vehicle in the country.

...at least not with out a giant flashing orange triangle, a 5th brake light, 50 pillows tied onto the bumper cover, and about 50 different reflector decals.

lol, me and my husband were watching the Wonder Years tonight, and in the background was a PSA on the kitchen TV about wearing seat belt. "<span style="text-decoration: underline"><span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-weight: bold">IF</span></span></span> your vehicle has safety belts, use them!" Theres a lot of these safety things I agree with, but I still made sure to have low back seats in my GT6. Headrests are nice, but at some point you just gotta suffer for beauty.

Wow, hadn't really looked at the Z4 previously. One can see -- or at least imagine -- a lot of GT6 styling cues in the above design, more so than in the new concept (which seems to rely mostly on a flip-front with exposed latches to evoke that ol' Triumph feelin')!

The z4 would be the modern spit. The M coupe is the GT6.
