Everyone send me $100 so I can....

That is a beauty. And one of the most eloquent descriptions I've ever read.

My opinion.....original....

My gosh - that is one beautiful original car. Lucky guy whoever becomes its next "guardian".

Tom

Pretty color. That photo makes it look stunning.

I'll start the bidding - Everyone send me ~$99~ so I can buy this car. Any advances....

That is the most beautiful TR3 I have ever seen. It certainly looks original to me. The looped carpets and rubber mats, engine compartment, spare wheel compartment leather straps all point to originality.
I wonder how much it will sell for. If it was in the UK I bet it would sell for the equivalent of $50,000.

I WANT IT!!! :smirk:

Well, with 9 days to go, at currently at US$15,000, it'll be a pretty penny.

Man does that make me sound old.

Tom

Hi Folks,

I saw this "Sweet" TR3 this AM. Its somewhere around $20K already!

Why don`t we all put a $1.00 in a kitty & guess what it will sell for! Winner gets the proceeds!

I`ll start with a winning bid of $27,600.

Regards, Russ

PS: The `59 BRG one is not too shaby either!!

That is a really clean car. My 3, when I bought it, had exactly 22,700 miles on it. It still had some of the original paper and string maintenance how-to tags hanging from a couple areas. But wow, no comparison.

It' looks like a really great car. If it is an un-molestered original, then that is really something. I have only one bad comment on that car...to me, the color is not at all appealing. I'd be forced to strip the thing apart and fix that.

Edit: The whitewalls would also have to go...

Wow -- I really believe that is a very original example. The usual restoration giveaways are not there and some of the less notable characteristics of an original car are present.

I'll predict that this one will go well north of $30K to a buyer named Francois or Hans.

I was at work and sat at my desk kinda stunned when I saw the pics of this car. Can't wait till I can get back to work on mine in a week or two.

I did notice on the the dealer invoice it said the car came with wire wheels. Wonder if those are in a garage someplace?

Hi Folks,

Well; She`s up to $25.1K and 8+ days to go!

My guess of $27.6K will probably not hold!

Looks like Geo Hahn is right; $30K+++++++!!!!!!!

Have Fun watching,

Russ

Here are some close photos of my facia. It will be recovered eventually, but I am absolutely sure it is original. In fact, I have a second original facia from a black interior and it is the same. The stitching appears to be a tan or natural fiber colour but it may have faded in 49 years. Could have once been dyed to match the facia.

I have an appointment to see the eBay car next Thursday. I intend to take still and video digital photos. Hope to report later.

Cheers,

Frank

Frank,
Be sure to get a picture of the blanking plate (right hand steering cover), or lack of it. I'd like to see more pictures of that car. I think he says the color is Dove Grey, please verify. I wish I could afford such a queen.

Hmmmm... it did appear to me when I first looked at it that the studs (especially in the shoe of the rear drum/hub) looked like the shorter wire wheel studs. Could be I suppose.

Here`s a current ebay up-date:

She`s sitting at $26.8K and 7-1/2+ days to go!

Thats going to Kill my theory of $27.6K!!!!!!!

I too would like to take a ride and view this car but I`d probably get sick that I can`t have it!! Not nearly enough $$$$ under my mattress!!

Oh Well; Its nice to dream!!

Russ

PS: I emailed the seller & told him that he and his car were under considerable conversation on the BCF. I mentioned to him to introduce himself here & perhaps get some interesting offers from "REAL" enthusiasts!! He replied with a "Thanx"!!
