Thought I'd post a pic of the new motor in the race car. I've decided to drop out of SCCA racing for a while and just play at various track days. I'm getting tired of rules. Motor is just a 4 liter with a nice cam and head work. And oh yea a 670 cfm AOD racing carb. Ought to push around 250 HP - nothing crazy.

Looks a lot like a car I saw at the Carver MG club meet this fall on a freezing cold day beside a cranberry bog. Weren't you parked next to me and Woody's TR8 was beside you? Or vice versa? If so, hi again! If not, sorry for the mix up.
 
Yes that would be me. The show was about 1 mile from my house. I really wanted to bring the MGB to that show, but I still have not finished the fiberglass body yet. I can only work on the fiberglass when it's warm out, so for the winter, it's parked in the back corner of the garage with 1/2 of a TR7 hanging from the ceiling above it. I hope to finish up the 28,000 mile TR8 conv I'm restoring before spring time hits and I'm back working on the two race cars. Why do I feel like I am stuck in a revolving door?

Oooohhh, ahhhh, in spades! Looks like a first class build, even made the crreepy plaid door panels look nice. I'd love to hear what 250 HP sounds like coming out of those sweet headers if you've got any sound files available.

Okay, here is a Rover with some Tri-UMPH ...

It is a Rover 3.5 liter with 3.9 EFI - Hotwire Mass flow, K&N Filter, Chevy connecting rods and high compression pistons, heads are cc'ed, Erson Performance Cam and high rev lifters, Edlebrock 7000 RPM gears and chain, Headers - Ceramic coated outside and flow coated inside.
I am told it should be 280 bhp, but I think it is more like 230. Maybe in the spring I'll get to Computer Cars in Denver and put it on their Dyno.
