As the Brits say. I always sort of knew but really enjoyed this video. How a manual transmission works.

 
Good video. I had a friend that needed his Jag 4-sped tended to and was going to send it out. Seems he tried to back up with the handbrake solidly on and heard a snap. He was amazed that after he took it out I tore it down in 20 minutes busted three gears. Bought a used in good condition and I put it's guts in his body for correct numbers. Pretty much any laycock tranny is easy once you learn.

If anybody needs practice, I've a couple Alfa five-speeds in need of second gear synchro replacement. :rolleyes:
