I just got lucky....again. The tag surrounds were on the car when I bought it.
They are vintage items.
I gave the front one since I don't need it to Blue Max, my old friend , for his
Bugeye. Both Bugeyes just also happen to sport Speedwell front anti-sway bars and rear panhard rods
and the Speedwell gear shift knobs.
The tag surrounds are in excellent condition. My Bugeye has a couple of "special" items.
A Lucas day/night rear view mirror and factory tinted front windshield are my favorite two.
Thing is most wouldn't even notice either item. Only a trained eye would notice the tag surround for example.
The old Sprite has had a nice life. Seems every owner kept records and each improved it while in their care.
The book of records is HUGE. It even has hand drawings of plans for custom work that was subsequently
done. Cool reading. All the spec sheets etc. for everything. Receipts from the 70s forward.
