I posted in the events forum, but I thought I'd mention it here as well (since the featured Marque is Healey).

June 6-7, 2008 Louisville KY. The 24th annual British BASH.

Details and preregistration forms can be found on the web site.

https://www.britishbash.com

We always have a great collection of cars, food, beverages, shade, music, etc.

Register early for the bonus pack, and to reserve your spot (we almost filled up the field last year)!

We need a better representation of spridgets! I'll buy a drink for every BCF regular that enters a spridget in the show!

Thanks,
Trevor

Well... I guess you lurk here more than I realized. I should have excluded "locals" such as yourself. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

I went last year, and other than the rain at the end of the show...a real downpour, the show was one of the best I have ever driven to!

Drove down in the BJ8, through the backroads of southern Indiana! It is a must attend show, great music, loads-o-cars, great food and well run!

Of course Travor's car is a great car to see!
I may trailer the race car this year!

Thanks, but this year I think I'm going to have the '58 project car drivable and at the show.

The event is is changing formats a little this year (we have a new chairman), but it looks like it is going to be better than ever. We also will have a sanctioned Jaguar Concours Competition on the same field.

Everyone should come in on Friday night. We'll do a scenic drive through a historic park and onto the BASH site for live music, brews, and "tire kicking".

Hap, I think the difference lies in the fact that I am not (personally, nor my business) a sponsor of the event.

I understand that your sponsorship in the event gains you little and is actually just a way to help out a fun event for car guys, but the "forum police" may not.

Yeah, I hear you. This all started as FBCC (Foothills British Car Club) event, but the guys at CMP and myself thought it would be great to invite everyone. Yes My names on the flier, and I'll buy an award, but that's about this, this was the guys at CMP idea for me to put my name on there. You're right that I'll net very little from it, and not even why I'm doing it.

I will admit I do get some work from forum members, but it not why I come here, I come here, because I'm just one of the guys. You don't see John Twist or David Anton or any of those guys coming here. I even been told by some of the poeple in the bizz, I shouldn't come here. Sure, I have to make money to survive in this business, but If money was what drives me, I wouldn't being doing this  Make no bones about it, I love this hobby just like you guys, it's not about a dollar bill.

And that I can understand. You got to do what you enjoy, you only go around once.

Let 'em eat cake, Hap! YOU participating here is of enormous help to a BUNCH of folks who would otherwise have no opportunity to learn more about these cars. If you get a bit of trade from it, so what. It's not like you're soliciting here.

You'd never make a living off'n THIS bunch anyway! :jester:

Agree. Hap provides much more in information and trouble shooting hints than most. Bring it on Hap.
