... $1 seems like a nice price (if that's true), but maybe that's one of those CL teases. :yesnod: Or maybe they are just posting to part out. That $1 thing does appear a lot (though usually more pricing within the ad).

I believe if you use a comma in the price, CL ignores what comes after the comma. I see the $1 thing a lot, but in those ads with the price copied in the description, it is usually typed with a comma.

I'm curious how he got the car to stick to a wall like that.

 Yes, those photos are amazing!

The $1 thing does appear at lot in CL, but there are also a lot of ads that at least give a price for a damaged car... or indicate that it's being parted out. This one was oddly listed - though, who knows in the wild and wooly world that is CL. I guess I missed the line about "call with needs." Maybe it comes with fish.

No matter... it's thousands of miles away from me.
Go for it you nor'easters!

Think it's hanging from the red ty-down strap in the back.

Ah, the rare '62 Bugeye. :jester:

With roll up windows......

What is that on the top of the windshield frame? From the rear view it looks like it's cliped in place.

Some kind of strange brow-line? It was in a flood... so maybe it's algae.

 What? BUT BUT it's a bugeye. Honest. :cooler: And rust has been given a special head-start (including inside the cylinders).

I wonder if it is the header for the top?

It's the header rail from the convertible top frame.

So, I guess he ran out of cardboard boxes. I wonder if that thing would stay on if you drove it. Like if you took an extra header rail, added a little flip lip to the back so it pushed the air over your head a little more. Maybe make it a little quieter. Maybe provide a place for visors that can be used for the sides.

Well I know we have all seen uglier amalgams of parts from different cars all bolted together...

However, the owner had a vision and apparently went to a great deal of trouble trying to get there.

Can we question some of his choices? Of course.
Should it be advertised as a Bugeye? No of course not.
So, some points given for the effort but some taken away for the presentation.

Still, as has been often repeated here and elsewhere: "it's your car, do what you want"

Who knows? The owner may find someone else out there as wacky as him who wants to buy it. At least it's mostly reversible stuff on that one.

A lot more clarity should definitely be used when selling these things on.

I thought maybe the rear boot was result of the flood?
or maybe thats what happens to a nice square body when it gets stuck in the mud, it turns into a frog?
