A black Dart?

Just for gits and shiggles you need to paint a red hour glass on the center frame cross member....

I wish my SP was advanced that far! It's looking great. Good stuff.

Its looking really sharp Dale.

those look like the 185/70R15 pirellis that longstone tyres is selling in the UK again. Great tyres.

Can you list the actual paint code for that color? I mentioned it to my wife and she want to paint the Jag that color! Isn't she wonderful? I'm gonna keep her!!

I'd like to be going with an old tire pattern (Blockley, Longstone) with uprated rubber compound. Are the Pirellis cross-plies?

(The original Dunlop Roadspeeds are currently on the car)

spnx-Funny you should ask about the tires, I just came across the receipt from 2003 and have to wonder why I bought them back then. I will use them for a year, at most, and then replace because of age. They are Kelly 165-R-15. I am running Vredestein Classic in 165-HR-15 on the driver & am quite satisfied with them so far. Got them from Universal Vintage in Hershey, PA.

Silverghost- Never had the code, it is a recent color -Bentley's Black Velvet Pearl- and my painter just used that to order from his supplier. The Bentley website will let you build a car and you can get an idea of how it looks from there. PM me if you need the actual code & I'll get it from restorer.

Thanks! I should be able to find it.

Longstone sells Dunlop R5s and CR 65s, both pretty good tyres, but if you are drivng on the road you should really go with a radial. They are much safer, esp in braking.

Aren't radials going to screw up my wheel circumference? I seem to remember reading somewhere that radials aren't recommended on Darts.

James -

buy a suitably tall radial, 80 to 85% profile. I think a standard 165x15 is basically the same. have a look here, you can check:

Longstone Daimler SP 250 Fish Feet

You can see the diameters for some of the 165x15s are the same as the 5.90x15s
