Euro carb air filter clearance problems

I did a mock up with the stock euro elements and man are they close in the rear, if not touching. Anyone had problems with this? I don't know if my mounts are just saggy or what. I might see if I can shim the motor up 1/2" or so.

Using the choke cable from the 1275 parts car and it looks like it will work out o.k.

If you are talking about putting dual SU's on a 1500, most people I know have had to cut a small notch into the top of the right side footwell in order to get the rear carb to clear.

Here is an example of a conversion. It shows where and how to cut the car.

That's for the bowl. I have moved the bolw reaward that it isn't an issue. My problem in the air filter is touching, which it isn't suppoed to. Looks like I have a bad mount. I have two comming so hopefully that will be it. Can't wait for this to be going again.
