Wowza! When I was a kid (around 12) living in German, my best friend (still friends today) were out hiking in the German countryside when we stumbled upon an old German bunker. It had been used it seemed as a trash repository by the locals as it was fill of trash. But! We were kids and we just had to explore and started diving through t he trash until we got to the dirt floor. Then we started diving around even more. We found quite a a fee WWII era relics, but the think we were most excited about was a small tin fill of old (1800's) german coins! Nothing as remarkable as what this couple found, but for a coupled of kids it was a pretty neat find!

One time...I found a Craftsman screwdriver buried in my yard. It was all rusty. Sears gave me a new one, free of charge. So... I know what it's like to hit the mother-load. On second thought, maybe I don't... :(

You finally found Eureka?! You could have just asked Doug.... I think he lives there. :friendly_wink:
Seriously, that is a cool story. Sure beats anything I ever found.

At my last church, the caretaker - as a child, found a bag of coins. This, during the depression literally allowed his parents to pay off their home. However, being a child he could never find the spot again where he found them.
