My nearly 5 year old wants to watch Star Wars. I've never had this dilemma before, where should I start?

For the sake of chronology and a five year old's ease to follow storyline, go with timeline not release dates.

I'm glad it's possible to DO that. I was frustrated for YEARS.

I voted for episode 1 but I meant to vote for episode 4. I wish there was a "change vote" feature. :frown: The early ones will be slow and unimpressive compared tot he later ones. To keep them more interested, I'd start with 4 (the original).

I'm with Steve on this one. Start with the original set.

If you watch it in the story's chronological order, episodes 5 and 6 are anticlimatic. It was written to start a episode 4. You won't get alot of the subtle moments if watched 1 thru 6. Now,a 5 year old is another story. LOTS more whiz-bang in episodes 1 thru 3. Very interesting question.

She got bored by Mos Eisley and wanted to watch 'The Little Mermaid' instead.
I tried. Thanks all.
