Englishemen Must Have Small Hands

I changing out the trim behind the seats, I became convinced that the English must have small hands.
In removing that piece of aluminum with the vinyl glued to it so that I could replace it, I needed to get my fingers up in there to get to the 8mm nuts that they put on there. I had to use my pinky fingers on both hands to get the nut off and then again on, and I don't have XL hands.
I have been working on these LBC's for over 22 years, and it just amazes me how they (the British) could get nuts into places that I would not even dream of mounting something.
But I did it, just so that it is original in craftmanship and appearance, gotta go rub some lotion on my hands as they are sll scuffed up and red now.

They had the help of all those little MOWOG elves...

I've the scars to prove how tight some of those places are... I do have XL hands too...

and I need to replace that same piece of trim on my B. Lovely.

Drew: With a bit of judicial use of an 11/32" box-end and some creative fingertip control it's EASY!

:jester:

Cut 6 inch access holes in the sheet metal above where the nuts are and weld them back in when done........that's how the factory did it!!
