Engine & Trans Finley In!

Hi Rut, purchase my alternator four years ago. I don’t think they make the chrome anymore? https://store.alternatorparts.com/partno1213201ndselesternos12187.aspx

You will have to disassemble the alternator and rotate the field housing re-solder stator to place the power lug to bottom side. this will enable the small ear to attach to water pump. I also had to manufacture the adjustment rod with a thicker material to 3/16 stainless to give added support for alternator.

Alan,
Thanks for the info and I would like to find the 48 amp model vs the 35 you linked. I've found several that look like they would work, but I'm a hold it in your hand kinda guy.
Thanks, Rut

So with a one wire alternator how does the charge indicator light work?

Kurt.

Great question, it doesn’t! I’m not using a charge indicator light, I’m using a voltmeter. However I’ve made a few changes to my instruments, the GPS speedo indicator red light will now be oil pressure warning light and the 8000 RPM electric tachometer will carry my high beam indicator light.

OK...I'm interested in finding a small 3 wire alternator. I believe Frank C used one off of a early 90's B 2000 Mazda pickup. I have yet to go searching for one.

Kurt.

Jack I've been looking at this product, but can not place my seal of approval yet? https://www.sharkhide.com

Can you see the chassis mods, right in front of you!!

That stuff looks cool and I was in on a batch...but...yikes...
As to the other mods...I know but will not tell.:cool-new:

Saying it far out tricks my Sprite is a mouthful...but true.
I can't wait to see it back on the road .
The finish line is in sight now, eh ?
