Engine Stand for 3000 Motor

Hi
Can anyone recommend a style of engine stand for the 3000 motor?

I want to start a rebuild on mine ASAP.

I have tried a fold-up type stand, however, it just wants to tip over as the motor is a heavy unit.

Thanks

I'm pretty sure you mean a 4 wheel stand. And, it's not 700 lbs. Off the top of my head I think it's around 635 lbs including the transmission. Any good engine stand will do the job handling 500 lbs of weight. I've never seen a fold up stand so I'm assuming It's some kind of cheapo thing?

I have used one the same as Dougie showed , no issues , had the engine sitting on it for a couple of years . Just put a bottle jack under the front end to relieve the stress on the mounting bolts when your not working on it .

I cobbled this one from bits and pieces that I had in my steel stock, modifications would be bigger wheels next time.
The engine is locked into place by an old screwdriver, passing through the steel tube and into the frame.

Bob
