Engine stand adaptor specs or diagram?

I want to mount my 1275 on my engine stand by mounting on the side of the block. There were earlier posts of an adaptor for this purpose, but none of the links work anymore. Does anyone have info on this adaptor? Jim

Go for the motor mounts.

The adaptor they mentioned in the earlier posts used the alternator bracket mounting holes on the side of the block. Apparently, this allows you to access everything, including the camshaft. Jim

I hope this works...

Thanks. This must be the diagram they were talking about. Jim

Jim, this is what I did to mount my 1275. Three bolts, one from the dist. mount, one from the generator bracket, and one from the oil filter mount. It was a little off center, but worked ok.

Thanks, Scott. I think I have the same stand. Will give it a try. Jim

This is what one of my engine stands looks like. Made it 30 years ago from 2" square tube, round electrical conduit and bar stock.
