Engine reinstall preparation questions

Getting close to re-installing the engine in the Whitephrog. I seem to remember some advice about one motor mount on the engine and the other on the frame. Is that correct? Do it matter which side is which? What should I install on the engine before putting it back in the car? What should I definitely not install before?

Bolt the motor mount to the car on the steering wheel side.
Keep the passenger side handy but not bolted in until the engine is close to it's final resting spot then bolt the rubber to the engine and lower it in and bolt the metal mount to the frame.
It's tough to get the metal part around the steering column. And this goes for RH drive cars too.

Another tip, is do not reverse the mounts side to side and up side down. The bolt for the motor mount is on the bottom, and there is a notch on the front side for the steering shaft for both right and left hand drive. The photo shows a mount for the driver's side (left-american).

Go outside and do a whole lot of cussing and get that all out of your system before you start

That doesn't work. It's like toothpaste. There's always some left in there.
