I have a small piece of iron angle 1" x 1" angle x 3/4" long, one 5/16 hole in it for the bolt.
The angle points toward the trans tunnel and works very well.

I have always not had a pedal. carry over from my first love a TD... They simply have a roller bar on the end of the accelerator shaft
