Engine pics...it's IN!

[ QUOTE ]
Here's a question for the combined group...I usually "dress" the engine compartment before I install the engine itself ...how do you guys do it?

[/ QUOTE ]
I do it backwards...............Surprised?
I ran an ignition wire through the bulkhead, hot wired the petrol pump & butter knifed the relay /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif
(for my 1st test ride)

Good to hear someone else does things backwards!

Wiring harness is in, fuse box, brake lines, umm, I forget what else Chuck got done today. And all with the engine in, he's not pulling it out (so says HE)

Sounds like Binabox is not too far from the champagne bottle on the bumper thing.

YIKES! Do I have to do that? I hate champagne!

Janel wrote: I've pulled a heater box OUT of that car, with an empty engine bay, and it was one somanagun to get out. I can't imagine putting it back in with stuff in the way.

It's true!

Reasembly is the reverse of disasembly.

Why install unnecessary stuff like heater, top & radio /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Minimalist!

But the bolts are all smooth fitting and everything is clean. Much prefer assembly.

Janel - get a can of touch up paint & some tiny artist brushes - you're gonna need them putting that heater box, et.al. in over the top of that engine.

I have the touch up paint already and I have tons of artists' brushes, I used to paint until I got too busy for it.

Looks good so far Janel.

I've nicked one of Herself's 00 sable brushes for these tasks. She's gone to digital for her artwork so she won't even notice! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

Thanks Keenan!

No work on it until Monday though, unless Chuck goes over tomorrow, we're busy tomorrow night with some friends from the car club and out of town for the weekend with the car club Spring Fling.

For Mother's Day I've 'requested' labor. I don't want no stinkin' perfume or useless jewelry, don't get me no stinkin' flowers or crap I'll never wear. Show up, work. Bring your dremels and polishing compound.

SWMBO will never miss it anyway, if she has as many brushes as I do. UNLESS...Doc, what if it's her FAVORITE brush???

That's my only fear. Obviously I didn't ~ask~ which she favours. She has tons of 'em, so I think I'm safe. I picked a Grumbacher... left all the W. German ones alone. I ain't THAT big a foole. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

Should have grabbed a Windsor & Newton, they're junk.
/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That's likely why she hasn't got any of 'em.
