Could someone please post a photo that shows
how the large wire coming off the aftermarket
alternator routes thru the engine bay to the
starter motor?

Also if possible. A photo showing how do the
many wires route from the dash to the front lights
and horns, etc..

Thanks much ,

I think it is a little late for that Dale. your Wiring is already done. So if is different what will you do?

Dale, I routed mine directly to the battery, not the hot wire on the starter solenoid. I ran an extra wire to the + post on the battery, 8 gauge. Most automotive stores offer a double wire hookup for the + post, just used major heavy duty wire connectors (the kind that need a special tool to crimp) and triple insulate with 2 heat shrink tubes and finally a super heavy duty red battery heat shrink tube. Over kill.

Here's an engine photo...optional big block TR8..

Dale has Dan's wiring panel (see his last engine photo). Everything from the dash goes out one of the holes below the brake booster and runs along the drivers fender and then along the front. Dale, your wires to your lights and horn DON'T come from the dash they come from the panel. I ran my wires along the top of the passenger fender to the front and then along the front.

Thanks Bill,

I think I saw a battery cable as you describe at
Western Auto the other day. I'll check it out.
Your setup makes good sense.

DNK- I had no existing wires in the car to follow
their route paths. I left some slack in the individual
wires and made bundles with plastic ties. The bundles
are loose in my engine bay, not attached to the car.

I have a bunch of new bullet connectors, bullets and
wire bundle mounting brackets. Now that I have a better
idea where the wires should be, I tidy up the bundles,
encase them properly and install the mounting brackets.

Thanks all for your help. I'll post some before/after
photos once I have the project completed.
