Engine Paint Quantity

I don't think so- One can is just about enough to do one coat on the block, run out and make you angry. A good job will almost always entail multiple thin coats as opposed to one heavy coat, Plus you've your starter, generator ( This is a maybe - I'm not sure about Big Healey Mills) and all the assorted little brakets and gizmos - I'd plan on a minimum of three cans, maybe more to do a job befitting of such a pretty Auto!

Another thing to think of is future touch-up - I'd buy enough to have at least a can stashed back for the future- I find that the color/shade varies from batch to batch over time.

Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it

HI Patton, I think YOU will need at least "Four" rattle cans to paint all the engine components and fix goofs.-FWIW---Keoke /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif
