I know Duplicolor had a color, T-278 or Deep Canyon Red, seems it's about as close as you can get to the original color, but, I understand their discontinuing it. Any knowledge on this or a different manufacture? Moss engine paint supposedly fades with time, any knowledge on this also? PJ

Krylon did that (discontinued) too. :madder:

They had one called "Harvester Red". Really close. Now it's completely different.

I have had good luck with Moss paint. Only issue being that hot coolant will leave spots. As a rule, I purchase two cans to spray the motor and gearbox.
Cheers,
D.

Paul - Check all the auto parts stores in your area, there may be some of the Deep Canyon Red left on their shelves. I did that a month or so ago and bought a whole stock of it.
Cheers,

Dave, did you hear anything about Duplicolor having cases of the paint in their warehouse that can be purchased only by the case? If that's true, I'll order a case. PJ

I just wrote the manufacture to see what they say. Who knows, can't hurt! PJ

OK, if it is called harvester red, it's tractor paint - go see what TSC has in stock.

Haven't heard that, at least not from the store I purchased the paint from. they had one can on their shelf and a whole bunch in their warehouse.
Cheers,

One problem with a case purchase. Unless you plan on using all of the cans in the near future, I would pass. Over time the cans will loose their charge and will become useless.
Cheers,
D.
