Engine Operating Temperature

The correct thermostat for the Healey needs to be installed and not a universal cheapie one. The correct one can add 25% more cooling advantage due to allowing water to flow through the “hole” in the cylinder head that’s located at the thermostat hole. I’ll see if I can find the Head photo showing the “hole” and post it.
 
Jag thermostats are the same, has to be absolutely correct and I found only Stant had them. My V-12 had two.
