Engine Mount Thickness for Bugeye, etc.

I bought front engine mounts a few years ago and will be using them shortly. I noticed that they are a good deal thinner than the original. Bugeye Barn sells a thicker version.

I'm wondering what everyone does when the install the thinner mounts. Do you install shims? Does anyone know sources other than Bugeye Barn for the correct thickness mounts?
