Spitfire Engine Mount replacement in a Spit...

I have a broken engine mount in my 79 Spitfire, and I am going to be replacing both front mounts tonight...It looks fairly easy...I am assuming that I just put a floor juck under the engine and jack it up a bit to get the weight off the mounts, and swap them out? Any tips or tricks that anyone has?

You probably want to put something on between the oil pan and the jack to prevent damage to the oil pan. A short piece of 1x6 works well.

yup. that's about it. wood under pan, lift her up, swap 'em out, open beer.

Wow, what a diffeerence...the car had a broken, as in broken in 2 pieces, passenger side engine mount when I bought it a month or so ago, now with 2 new mounts its a whole new car!
