OH WOW!!!

Congrats, man!!

Not shabby AT ALL!!!

...there are times I wish I'd stayed "up there".... :smirk:

Ah, now I understand!!

I fixed the table Tony...

Don't know why it came out all jumbled up.

It is exactly what I wanted but, I had to wait almost 2 years for it.

I get 90 PFT at my launch RPM of about 3000

Then it crosses over at about 5000 from torque to Hp.

I wanted low down torque and high end Hp for a firm pull all the way to 7000 with no dead spots.

Now all I have to do is drive down and pick it up...
(8 hours each way)

Looks like you can shift between 6000 and 6500 if you have the CR box.

Nice numbers.

Wow!

120 HP!

YowwZahhhh!

..says the guy who toodles around with about 65 on a good day

Congrats.....great numbers!

(and yes, I do like my Econotrailer)

Hi..

BTW, when I rebuilt my 1622 for my MGA, i pretty much did the same thing... a little omph...

oversize pistons, a more respectable cam. shaved the head .050, balanced, polished rods, lightened flywheel etc. etc.

The car is still long from being a pocket rocket, but, i can cruise at 3500 to 4500 without feeling as though i am abusing the engine...

Be sure to check valve clearance.. I thought i had enough with what I reduced the head by, but after about four instances of breaking valve rockers, finally took the head off , and sure enough, I was just kissing the top of the block...

landed up flycutting the block.. no problem since..

I always say, if you are going to rebuild and machine, why not just emphasize it a bit.. really does not cost that much more in the end...

sorry no dyno for horsepower...

I'm glad I built up that C/R box last year...
I've heard people are having problems getting the gear sets now.

And when they do find them in the UK...
They are priced out of this world.

I may have to have to play around with the rear end ratios a bit.

Running a 3.7 now...
Perhaps a 3.9 may be in order.

The Elva has a Sprite rear end (same as Nial's car) so I have those to choose from.
