Engine Compartment Repaint

Well, it appears the photobucket concept escapes my understanding

photo attempt No 2-Engine compartment

I refinish small areas at a time.

I use painters masking tape and newspaper
to cover large areas. Tinfoil and painters tape for
small items- Then I cover the entire car in sheets
and blankets. Some difficult areas I shield with hand held pieces of cardboard while I spray around them.

Cool! It worked this time.

I use Dupli-Color products and FW1 as a final polish.
Preparation is the key. I work in small areas and
remove engine bay hardware like radiator supports,
etc. whenever possible. I clean everything with xylene.

Small, removeable pieces I cook in the oven with this plastic powder applied with electric spray gun.

The Duplicolor is quite good at filling in small
scratches of the existing paint that I do not always
need to remove to bare metal.

hope this helps ya out.
