Engine Colour for a 74 Midget.

I am about to start my engine rebuild and want to paint it a more correct colour for the year. Do not like the colour it is right now.

In 1970 they used the metallic healey Green. While it may not be correct for your car ... it is a more interesting color.
 
That engine looks remarkably like the 948cc in my 1957 Morris Minor. According to "those who know", the engine and valve cover original color was the green Trevor refers to, altho' not metallic.

Get rid of the chevy orange, anything is better.
 
The engine is all back together and ready to run up. I am waiting for the oil pipe from the block to oil filter and will have to rig up a radiator. Then I can cover it up till the rest of the Midget catches up with the engine.
