Engine brass

How can you keep the engine brass nice and shiney? Is there a product you can buy? I use Brasso to shine but it doesn't last very long.

Thanks

Could try clear polyurethane. Some marine brass/ bronze is treated with that or similar but as soon as it is exposed to the air and it is quite difficult to get any coating to stick it will oxidize. Don't think brass parts were ever designed to look shiney, but to last a long time and for ease of casting/ machining. Also could use the brasso regularly. Better yet, in my opinion, accept the patina. Tom
