I've got to wire up the choke and heater valve cables and a few odd and ends, but it's almost there. I'm pretty pleased. Now I need to finish hanging the rest of the body panels! fun fun!

There's a spec of dirt in there somewhere, I know it. There must be!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif Beautiful work John!

Like those clamps, John!

WOW!!! You should be VERY pleased. Very nice!

Wow...looks a lot like it did....what.....a year or so ago? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Reminds me of when I bought my car. The ad said "98% restored". My first question to the owner was "which 2% ISN"T restored?" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Looks good John. Much better than the pictures we used to regularly see of it propped up on its side full of rust! Have fun with those body panels. Hope you don't have any more paint incidents!!

Looks great /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif, I thought you were going to cut off that bracket on the thermostat housing for the air pump /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif?

Wow! That Healey green just looks great with all the other color in the bay. Really nice work John.

Hey, John....do you have the foam to put between the top of the radiator & the radiator support?

Dayum boy. That looks fantabulous. A phenomenal job. You know, I think you should come do Binabox now!

(Can I see 'before' pictures please?)

Foam is so ugly. I'm planning to replace the foam on my GT with a rubber strip. I don't care about originality, the foam gets ratty real fast!

You know, Steve, I wonder if it was an afterthought at the factory also? One of those bandaid things....gee, would that make Abingdon a DPO?

Thanks for the clamps Tony! I'm still working on the smaller ones. Yeah, I think I would eventually like to add the foam. I'm sure it would help with pulling air through the radiator.

But yeah, this is the fun part!

Swamper,

I found out that Moss makes a Eurospec thermostat housing with out the air pump bracket for $18! I'm eventually going to get it. I also have chrome acorn nuts to use on to hold the t-stat housing down. Should go well with the chrome valve cover... i hope! lol!

And Joe... Yeah, it does kinda look like last time around... Just better!

I think I'm beginning to feel a bit.... green...

Well it's not for purist! lol! It's Austin Healey Green. I didn't like the idea of a maroon engine in a red car. Plus, I had seen JDW's Austin Green engine and really liked the idea.

that was envy green... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'm hardly a purist... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
