I feel your pain. I am a know-nothing, non-mechanic Guy who bought a "fully restored" 1969 TR6 almost 5 years ago. It took me four years of rebuilding and replacing the entire car to get 100 miles without a beakdown. What an $$$$ learning experience.

I've driven Jeeps all my life and never got stranded. My Wrangler died in the driveway yesterday. Good engine start, tranny wouldn't move forward or backward.

Remembered my lessons from the hundreds of TR6 breakdowns and had the Wrangler Tranny linkage repaired in two hours.

So you never know when the heartbreaks of repairing Triumphs might come in handy.

So, Dale, are you driving your 6?

Dale, I was expecting to see a picture of you using Amos to tow the Jeep to the shop!

I think you have just about earned your master mechanic cert!

LOL !!

Fixing the Wrangler tranny myself did save me a large bundle
of cash. Our Jeep dealer is crooked as a dog's hind leg. $1200
in repairs on Wendy's Jeep at the dealer.. Gave up, took it
to Western Auto, defective battery, under warranty, paid $10
for new battery- Jeep ran good as new.

Yeah, I went back and threw a fit at the jeep dealer.
Waste of breath.
