I read the failed emissions test thread and wondered how far back do they test. i.e. What year is the cut off point?
 
Depends on where you live. Here in CA, cars that are 1975 and older do not need an emissions test, but in UT, cars that are 1968 and newer need one. Check with your local DMV for the year that applies to you.
