EMISSION VALVE is it needed

I have been having an issue with the oil spitting out the filler cap. I started to look further and see the last owner took off the EMISSION VALVE that hooks to the manifold. He plugged both sides.

Is this something I need to put back on or will I just have to live with the oil spitting out. That may also explain why he had some funny type of cap over the valve cover. I think it was a breater cap but it alway spit oil all over as well. Thanks for the help. Tom

Yes, hook it up and get rid of the open vent oil filler cap, save alot of mess. Hope you were lucky and he let the valve there. Pull off the little spring clip and make sure the rubber diapham is in one peice. You can get a new one from Vicky Brit or Moss. Wayne

Thanks for the help. I will have to order all of the parts. It was all capped off and the EV is long gone. Thanks. Tom
