Probably OK, it just increases the load on the ignition switch. If the switch is in top condition, it should handle it (possibly depending somewhat on how much current your pump draws). Dad's TR3A has been wired that way for several decades, and AFAIK is one of the few areas that hasn't been a problem.mtlman8 said:
