Electrical Demons Exhorsized!

I finally diagnosed and cured my final electrical issue on my 75 TR6 with the help of all the fine posts on this forum and the purchase of Dan Masters' book. Anyone who is struggling with electrical problems must have his book.

It turns out that my hazard flashers were not working properly for two reasons. First one was that the hazard switch needed a good cleaning and second problem was that when I was mounting the rear license plate about a year ago, I drove a sheet metal screw into the wire that runs to the rear left turn signal.

Guess the forum should have a category for problems caused by the "DCO".
We can't always blame the Prince of Darkness.

I have admitted to a few blunders as a DCO along the way myself.

It cleanses the soul.......

LOL
I would be real careful with terms like finally and final.
Most certainly when dealing with electrical gremlins

I was thinking the same thing. Congrads for getting your electrics in order "for now".

Paul- Say it ain't so.

It seems Norton and roofman are of little faith. "Finally" in this case means after a lot of effort, not forever. All of us who own LBCs learn this early on.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: Most of the problems with Lucas electrics are due to the folks who "modify" or "fix" things with less-than workmanlike remedies.

...I've put pop-rivets thru an MGB floorpan in past with AMAZING consequences at the rear lighting. I was 19. I know better now.

Didn't mean it serious. That's why I put LOL for laugh out loud. I work electronics and electrical aircraft problems everyday. I think it was the final electrical problem that caught my eye.
Glad you got her fixed.

"Finally diagnosed," ....common verbiage in British
Car parlance. Gotta love em....and I do. I blame
the car less and my ignorance/inexperience more.

Like the time that I spent an hour chasing a low speed miss or stumble on acceleration after not putting a plug wire back on tightly????

That was actually painless, compared to some of the other dumb things that I've done.....
