Electric Midget Ebay

Wow. They want $8200 minimum for an overwieght and especially slow "rare" Midget. No thanks!

I think electric cars are cool... but the Midget is an extremely poor platform for such a conversion.

After dropping $8200 on that thing, you will probably get to drop another $5000 on batteries. In my limited research, it's generally when the batteries need to be replaced the SECOND time that people get motivated to sell their electric conversion.

From what I have read/heard, the Porsche 914 makes a great 'lectro conversion. Done correctly, the car can be capable of near 100 mph speeds and acceleration that will require you to collect your organs from the trunk.

D.C. electric motors are not to be trifled with! Think diesel locomotive here. And mebbe *neck braces* /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

We'd all be enthusiasts of 'em if the 'current storage' problem were less penal.

Look how low it sets and how poorly the body work was done. Sigh.
