Electric guitar question

I spend probably an hour and a half in four sea containers looking and knocking on planks of exotic wood. Trying to find something that I thought would sound and look good. Of course, you never know what you'll get once you cut an inch off. Just gotta look at both sides and guess.

It's assembled! I say that instead of done because I'm not sure I like the thickness of the neck. The sustain is huge, but the neck just isn't as thin or comfortable as my other guitar. I'll play with it for a while and decide if I'll sand it down some more, or just do a final finish on the fretboard.

That looks fantastic! I like the recessed switches, a very nice detail. Other than the neck thickness, how does it play? And even more importantly, how does it sound?

Thanks Drew,
The recess of the switches was just a spur of the moment thing, not originally planned. The pick-ups sound great. They made me realize how muffled sounding the Duncan's on my other guitar are. I had to back off the treble and mid on my amp with the Bill Lawrence pick-ups. That's Bill Lawrence who makes Wilde and Keystone p'ups. Not Bill Lawrence USA which is run by another guy not named Bill (apparently a long story). There is a lot of sustain as I mentioned. A couple things need addressing. The nut seems to bind on the high strings when I use the whammy bar. I had ordered the graphite nut, but it really looks like plain 'ole plastic to me. I'll get another one and if that doesn't work I'll look at either a locker or some rollers. It isn't as easy to pop a harmonic as my other guitar, but I probably just need to find the sweet spot. Maybe someday my playing won't suck so much.
