NY Times always has an auto column on Friday. Today, a story about a company in California that puts electric motors in old cars. The feature car was a Fiat 124. 0-60 in 7 seconds. Not cheap though. Prices range up to $85,000.00. Article describes restomods. "You don't want to take a ride and wind up coming home behind a tow truck." is the usual reason given.

I can see an electric conversion when gas stations go the way of buggy whips. By then, they might have a reasonably-priced conversion. I probably won't be driving by then.

A friend of mine owns the NEW Fiat 500e and loves it. It's a pretty cute, all electric, car.
