Spitfire Electric fan

**** all, I have a 1980 spit. My electric fan just quit. Just had complete engine rebuild and just about every important part has been replaced. I cannot get the fan to work.. Put new relay in. Put new temp sensor in, fuses are good, fan turns fine, When engine runs it starts to warm up and the fan just will not kick in. I guess I do not know what else to do. All wires are fine. Any would be appreciated.. got a lot of in this thing and it just seems cannot catch a break. This is my third spit, my 65 was the best.

First thing, I would check the fan itself....Bypass the switch, the sensor and the fuse...connect the 2 fan wires to a 12 volt source and see if the fan actually works.
If it does, back trace the problem with the fan's wiring.

Thanks,,DUH.. I am going to order the replacement fan, 10 blade and get rid of that stock that is on there .. regardless got to find whwere it is at.. could hard wire it with a switch if it is in the harness..however I do not how that could be. Thanks again. appreciated take care..

I have a 1980 Spitfire, too, and had the same problem with the fan. Fan worked when wired directly, but when wired through the relay switch, not at all. I tried all the fixes, and finally said the heck with it. I wired a direct switch into the cockpit. I watch the temp gauge, and when the engine starts getting warm, I switch it on. Problem solved.
