eight scratches in a windshielWindshield scratches

Nevr-Dull. :thumbsup:

Mind you, it's involved, painstaking work. But if you can't feel the scratch with your fingernail, it'll take care of them.

Camshaft;
Who makes never-dull, I don't know of it in Canada?

Is it a rubbing compound?

Thanks, Dave

Re: eight scratches in a windshielWindshield scrat

It's actually a metal polish. Aircraft folks use it to polish aluminum. Great stuff, IMO.
Should be able to find it at any auto supplier, Dave. Google it as "Nevr-Dull polishing padding" and you'll see a lot of places selling over the 'net, too.

Nevr-Dull.

Never-happen.
It has no abrasive in it and works by chemical action on metals.

Take a look at Novus.

I have successfully used a fine polishing compound to take out minor glass scratches and abrasions! Just clean the glass thoroughly afterwards with glass cleaner to remove the polish!!

But it "oils up" the scratch. Less noticable that way. :laugh:

"Simichrome" polish helps, "soap stone" too. But once it's scratched, it's, well, scratched.

I've had moderate success with diamond polishing compound:

Search the PDF catalog in the "polishing" link for part# 40-6172. 5 grams of diamond 6 micron polish in suspension. Last or second-to-last page.

*shrug* Works well enough for me. I can't be the only one who gets frightened by the idea of using abrasives on glass, and I detail cars professionally.
