EFI AH testing/tuning remotely

So what is interesting about just another test/tune day on my 57 year old 3 liter 6 cylinder Austin Healey engine? It is running a custom EFI system, but at this point that's old news. So here's the kicker.... Ric (master EFI guru and all around good guy) was doing the test/tune remotely. Yup, my EFI ECU (electronic control unit, computer for fuel injection, which is a MegaSquirt) was plugged into my laptop which was running my TunerStudio app (allows tuning of all the parameters in the ECU)... the laptop was connected via wifi to Team Viewer which allowed Ric to take control of my laptop. Ric was about 30 miles away with the ability to control TunerStudio which means he had control over the engine's ECU. I was just the local eyes and ears... although I was on the phone with Ric during the session and he would have me do stuff... adjust idle air, check/adjust distributor, test throttle body response ...the physical things... all the electronics were under his control. I thought that was kinda interesting for a 57 year old engine!... pretty sure Donald and Geoff Healey would have enjoyed seeing this!

A lot left to do, but a good day.

John, somehow, no matter how much technology I imbed in my 57 year old Healey... I don't think "autonomous" driving is in anyway compatible with Healey's fundamental nature. :smile-new:
