Some server in the chain just took a dump:
Generated in 51.771 seconds in which 0.002 seconds were spent on a total of 26 queries. Zlib compression enabled.

All well now.

Not on my end.... long time to load!
And, Good morning!

:savewave:

Doc - doesn't that just mean that Basil's BCF server took 51.771 seconds to generate the page you requested?

I didn't think it referred to servers "in the chain".

Tom

2200-2206 every night it starts out here.....page won't load. I figure the server back east is updating or clearing or some such.

possibly running backups... nightly backups requires a surprisingly large amount of system resources to complete.

Why doesn't it do it at 4 PST
Won't bother me then

We'll attempt to modify th' Innernets to accomodate ya, Don. :smirk:

Yes, when it gets slow late at night it is running backups (of several web sites). Usually doesn't take too long though.

Got a couple of these this morning about 4:15 PST
Generated in 41.344 seconds in which 20.450 seconds were spent on a total of 16 queries. Zlib compression enabled.
Generated in 36.808 seconds in which 36.777 seconds were spent on a total of 18 queries. Zlib compression enabled.

I still think that's the BCF server response time. I don't think it has anything to do with the 'net itself.

But 4:15 (a.m.) PST? Is that BCF server backup time?

T.

The backups start at 1AM Eastern Time (Midnight Central, 11PM Mountain, 10PM Pacific). Usually they take about 15 minutes to complete.
