Editing a post

This is a two part question.... I noticed that a "smiley" that used in a post contained part of two "smileys"... see screen shot.
First question is: Why does the "smiley" contain parts of two images?
Second question: When I attempted to edit my post and try to delete the "alien" and repost it, I was informed that after 1 hour you can't make any edits to your post. Is this correct?

Hmm, the smilie thing I’m not sure about. Need to investigate. As for editing time I need to adjust permissions per subscription level to give more time based on subscription level - one of a million little tweaks

I'm using my MacBook with Safari.

Strange. Doesn’t happen on my MacBook.
If anyone else sees this post reply IF you are seeing the icons split.
