Very cool. Funny how the article says "tune", when the speaker is obviously not singing.
And if you want to "hear" the world's first sound recording (tho' not meant for "playing"), take a look at this article about the French 1860 invention, the Phonautograph. I've also read several other articles referring to Abraham Lincoln's voice possibly being recorded in the White House on the Phonautograph - tho' the device was meant to create a "visual personal memento on paper", rather than an actual sound recording.
